In my encaustic photography, I explore the subtle interplay between light, texture, and emotion, inviting viewers into moments of quiet musing. Using the ancient medium of encaustic, I merge the depth of wax with the ephemeral quality of photography, creating a tactile experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional image-making.Each piece is a meditation on simplicity, employing minimalistic compositions to evoke a sense of serenity and contemplation. Through the delicate layering of wax and imagery, I seek to capture the essence of fleeting moments, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find solace in the stillness. My work is an invitation to embrace the beauty of simplicity, to listen to the whispers of the soul, and to find peace in the quiet spaces within ourselves.

Adhering my image to a gessoed wood cradle, I then cover it with layers of hot wax. I first smooth the wax and then score and scratch it; accenting it with oils and pastels. Using a blow torch, I fuse each layer, resulting in a serene and musing effect.
